Talk for Today
A 45 minute talk to discover Augustine of Hippo's wisdom and Augustinian spirituality.
Saint Augustine of Hippo in a Technological World – REALLY???
Focusing on how Saint Augustine of Hippo can enlighten us in our use of technology, this talk will address how Saint Augustine’s:
- Approach to interiority/reflection/discernment can energize us as we are the “Clicking Dead” in the TMI noise and clutter of cyberspace.
- Reminders to appreciate who and what are around us which can move us from technological FOMO to JOMO.
- Appreciation of Friendship as deep encounter and encouragement with others rather than mere persuasion and virtual collections of followers highlighting oneself.
